Prom season is officially in full swing, and by now, the message should be coming through loud and clear: there's NO one right way to do prom. You could rock a short dress, you could go ultra-glam, hey, you can even go as a hamburger if you wanted...but leave it to Nasty Gal to show us some of the coolest options yet. If you know NG, then you already know that Sophia Amoruso & co. have never really done things the traditional way. Luckily, the retailer's "break all the rules" philosophy applies to their newest lookbook as well, aptly titled "Anti-Prom." Stocked with tons of dresses (duh), plus unexpected pieces like spiky stud accessories, leather jackets, and even bright blue creepers, this is prom like you've never seen it before (and it's awesome).

What is the "anti-prom," exactly? Well, in this case it's stuff guaranteed to make you stand out on your big night and that you can wear long after prom season is finito. This is awesome, because one of our main gripes about prom is that it's SO MUCH EFFORT placed into an event that really only lasts a few hours. Nasty Gal has given classic dress silhouettes an edgy twist with tulle, sequins, and loads of ruffles in a neon rainbow colorway. Plus, who says you need to wear heels to prom? Not us. Jazzed-up oxfords, hi-tops, and creepers are way easier to dance in, anyway.

Easy-does-it essentials like leather moto jackets and denim toppers keep things grounded, whereas loads of glittery jewelry (and tons of fresh beauty inspiration!) give this lookbook that necessary touch of glamour.
